FUCK YEAH
Sonic Chaos (or Sonic and Tails in Japan) is the third in the line of 8-bit Sonic games. It was the last Sonic game to be released on the Master System (except Brazil that is) and it was released in the usual territories in November 1993. I'm going to be playing through the Game Gear version, but I will highlight some of the differences between the two versions at some point (once again it's pretty minor).
Story
The storyline to Sonic Chaos revolves around Dr. Robotnik and his quest for world domination via the use of the mysterious Chaos Emeralds to create nuclear weapons and lasers (according to the North American instruction manual).
Robotnik has stolen the Red Chaos Emerald, causing the other emeralds to "lose balance" and be transported to a parallel universe. As a result, South Island is now sinking into the ocean, and it is up to Sonic and Tails to save the island and foil Robotnik's plans of world domination.
The main differences between this and Sonic 2 are: -
Tails is now playable,
Spindash can now be performed along with the super peel out from Sonic CD,
Special stages are back,
The game is a fuck ton easier.
Its unique selling point at the time was that you could make Tails fly; the first game that allowed you to do this (Sonic 3 came out later).
